I walked into the one and only liquor store in the nearest town and asked the clerk where the scotch was and she told me nobody in that town drinks scotch or gin, but they did have Passport in the half gallon.  I thanked her settled for some bourbon.
The moral of the story is "Don't leave home without it."

I'm definitely going to try some Glenfarclas 10 yr. It made me thirsty just listening to you describe it.  ;D

Well, not much more has happened since we initially talked about it. I will bring it up again. Perhaps now that we are starting year 4 of the podcast it would be an appropriate time to make some adjustments to the scoring system.

I had looked at the break downs of the various Jon, Mark, and Robbo expressions a long time ago when we found the list on the Internet; but had forgotten about the Smooth Sweeter One until I was getting ready to record the show. When I saw how it was made, I just started laughing and knew I had to surprise Jeff and Michael with the information.

I'm glad you are learning things with each show. I know each episode teaches me a bit more. After 3 years, I think I might be getting a clue as to what I'm doing. :)

I was really surprised. As Chip did most of the research for this round, I had NO idea what the mix was until he told us while we were recording.

Another great episode and I must say, being somewhat new to the world of scotch, I learn something new with each episode.  I too am surprised they can call the smooth sweeter one a true scotch.  ;D

Not a great picture, but an awesome glass 8)  It has all the benefits of the Glencairn but feels MUCH better in the hand. It's great for swirling, nosing, has some heft to it and easier to get a sip out of!  I bought a total of three before I moved away for this store.
